The CDC will soon begin airing ads from their wildly successful Tips from Former Smokers campaign. The Tips from Former Smokers campaign seeks to shine a light on the hard-hitting health consequences of tobacco use. Tips focuses on conditions such as throat cancer, stroke, heart disease, COPD, diabetes complications, and many more.
Since 2012, the CDC estimates that the Tips campaign motivated at least 500,000 smokers to quit for good. It has resulted in 179,000 healthy years gained by preventing 17,000 early deaths. Look for these ads on TV, magazines, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and Youtube.
